I would NOT take my Class A motor home in this park. If you do, watch out for your AC's. The road past the entrance gate is about a mile long and has a tree canopy over the road from the large oak trees. It's beautiful, but not for big rigs IMO.

There are 2 very different campgrounds here. The river CG is more for smaller rigs and the beach campground handles bigger rigs. We stayed at the beach campground which is a short walk to the ocean. There is no shade so summer stays could be very hot. The bath house needs updating but all in all, a great place. The state park has lots of trails plus a civil war fort to explore.
